A Bag as Individual as You Are
Have you ever wanted to carry a truly unique bag — something special that reflects your personal style — without the designer price tag that often runs into the thousands? One way to achieve this is to commission a bespoke bag designed just for you.
If you’ve seen a bag you love in my Handmade Handbag Collection, but wished it came in a different colour, fabric, or with an alternative strap or fastening. A bespoke commission gives you the freedom to make those changes.
At Chamaeleon & Co, every commissioned bag is designed to adapt to you. Whether you’re drawn to bold colour, statement prints, mixed textures, or something beautifully simple and understated, commissioning a bag allows you to create a piece that feels unmistakably yours.
The Commission Process
Commissioning your bag is a collaborative and considered process, designed to be straightforward and enjoyable.
Step 1: Get in Touch
The first step is simply to get in touch. You can contact me by phone, email, or private message via social media and share your ideas. Whether they’re fully formed or just a starting point.
From there, we’ll discuss your vision together. We’ll talk through design options and practical considerations, including the pros and cons of different features, until we arrive at a clear blueprint for your ideal bag.
Designing Your Custom Bag
During the design stage, we’ll explore all the elements that make your bag both beautiful and functional, including:
- Zip fastening, flap closure, magnetic or twist-lock hardware
- Strap length and style to suit how you like to wear your bag
- Handbag, shoulder bag, or crossbody designs
- Colourways, prints, textures, and lining choices
You may already have a favourite style from my Crossbody Bags or everyday Shoulder Bags and simply want it reimagined in a specific colour or fabric — this is very much encouraged.
Once we’ve agreed on the design direction, I can provide images of the fabrics and prints I currently have in stock that align with your vision. Alternatively, you’re welcome to visit and choose your fabrics in person.
I maintain a wide and varied fabric collection, allowing for a high level of flexibility. On occasion, a specific material may need to be sourced, and if so, I’ll always advise you of any impact on timescales before proceeding.
Pricing, Timescales & Next Steps
Once the design details are finalised, I’ll provide you with a clear price for your commissioned bag, along with postage costs. There is no obligation at this stage — you can decide whether to go ahead once you have all the information.
If you choose to proceed, we’ll confirm a realistic timeline for your commission, and I’ll keep you updated as your bag comes to life.

Why Choose a Chamaeleon & Co Commissioned Bag?
Chamaeleon & Co is a small, independent business, and every bag is made entirely by me, by hand. You can learn more about my story and approach on the Meet the Maker page.
There is no mass production — only thoughtful craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Every bag I create is unique. While certain styles may be revisited, no two bags are ever identical. Colour combinations, fabric placements, and details are always different. I keep an extensive archive of past makes to ensure exact duplication does not occur.
This commitment to individuality is central to the Chamaeleon & Co ethos. Each bag is designed to be adaptable, distinctive, and personal — made to evolve with your style rather than follow trends.
If you’re looking for a handmade bag that is thoughtfully designed, carefully constructed, and created specifically for you, a bespoke commission is the perfect choice. To begin, simply contact Chamaeleon & Co.
